Printed directories to arrive soon; 255 a year later

New printed campus telephone directories should arrive through campus mail next week.

Chriss Parson, program assistant, Telecommunications, said the directories will be delivered Dec. 7-11 with regular campus mail for the appropriate number of faculty and staff members in offices. Additional copies are available at the IT Helpdesk. Parson asked that corrections be sent to her attention so that an on-line directory can be updated. The printed telephone directory features a cover photograph by Jeff Foster, multimedia marketing coordinator, University Advancement, and is printed on recycled paper. One tree, 102 gallons of water, and 38 pounds of solid waste were saved by using recycled papers, according to the publisher of the directory, University Directories, Chapel Hill, N.C.

The directory is published annually and distributed at no charge to UCCS faculty and staff. Advertising sales support the cost of the publication.

Parson also reminded faculty and staff that is has been almost a year since the campus transitioned to “255” as its telephone prefix. E-mail signatures and other announcement of the transition can now be removed, she said.
