Features/Announcements

School of Public Affairs professor to lead violence prevention effort. A UCCS faculty member will work with campus and community leaders in an effort to reduce domestic violence among students at both UCCS and Pikes Peak Community College.(More)

Berliner to receive honorary doctorate. Robert Berliner, attorney, author, and founder of Berliner & Associates, will be presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Human Letters at UCCS commencement ceremonies Dec. 17. (More)

Faculty approve general education goals. UCCS faculty members voted overwhelmingly to approve the final draft of new general education goals, Catherine Kelly, president, Faculty Assembly recently announced. (More)

Emergency weather alerts now available by text message. Despite one of the warmest Colorado falls on record, Department of Public Safety is working to prepare faculty and staff to be informed in the event of campus weather-related closures. (More)

Additional shuttle bus added. Beginning with the spring semester, an additional parking shuttle bus between main campus and the Four Diamond Sports Complex near North Nevada Avenue will be added. (More)

Directory on way. A 2010-11 printed directory of the names, office addresses, telephone numbers and emails of campus faculty and staff members will be distributed in early 2011, according to the Telecommunications Division of Information Technology. (More)
