We've got spirit how about you? Prior to Wednesday's inaugural games of the 2010-11 Steel and Silver Series against Colorado State University, Pueblo, several hundred UCCS students participated in the second annual spirit march from main campus to Mountain Lion Stadium. (More)

Campus science discussion reborn. The Café Scientifique is back at UCCS. A bi-monthly lecture and discussion series returns 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at Clyde's, University Center first floor, featuring the topic, "Vitamin D: Hyped Up or Home Run for Health?" (More)

Heller Center opening set for Oct. 6. More than a decade in the making, the Heller Center for Arts and Humanities will officially open to the campus Oct. 6. (More)

Computer use policy described. Computing privileges at UCCS are for scholarly, research, academic and administrative purposes and should not be used for personal gain, politics, or to harass or intimidate, according to campus policy statements. (More)

Southern Colorado Economic Forum offers peek into rosier future. Tom Zwirlein and Fred Crowley could hardly contain their enthusiasm this week as they reviewed the data that will build their forecast for the regional economy in 2011. (More)

UCCS to lead 9/11 monument design. An eight-foot-long reminder of one of the most tragic events in United States history is housed in a UCCS engineering laboratory, awaiting a new home and permanent display. (More)

President's Teaching Scholars retreat to Heller Center. On Saturday, more than 30 CU President's Teaching Scholars will converge on the Heller Center for the Arts and Humanities at UCCS for a fall retreat. (More)

Winning proposal secrets to be shared. The UCCS El Pomar Institute of Innovation and Commercialization and the Bachelor of Innovation Program are sponsoring a free all day seminar on the Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer program and effective innovation proposal writing. Southern Colorado community college students to see stage lights. More than 35 southern Colorado community college students and their faculty will visit UCCS and Colorado Springs Saturday. (More)

Professor selected as reviewer. Robert von Dassanowsky, professor, Languages and Cultures, was recently selected as the external reviewer of an Atlantis Program's Grant for Virginia Commonwealth University's transatlantic master's degree in foreign language and film studies. (More)

Clint Fisher. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday for Clint Fisher, a former assistant professor in the College of Education, at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leakey, Texas. (More)
