Regents honor School of Public Affairs professor. The CU Board of Regents honored Don Klingner, professor, School of Public Affairs, Thursday, officially designating him as a distinguished professor. (More)
Chancellor to regents: "UCCS inventing the future in tough times." Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak updated the members of the CU Board of Regents on recent campus actions that support a campus strategic plan during a Thursday business session conducted at the Lodge. See her presentation here. (PDF)
"Choose wisely" staff members told. A trio of speakers reminded UCCS classified staff of their worth, the choices they make, and how life requires adapting to change. Close to 100 staffers attended Staff Enrichment Day on Wednesday, partaking of the lectures, lunch and complimentary pieces of valentine candy with laughter and camaraderie. (More)
MOSAIC open house to introduce new resources. The Multicultural Office for Student Access, Inclusiveness and Community will have an open house beginning at 4 p.m. Feb. 16 in its University Center office to introduce a staff member who will provide services for UCCS students, faculty and staff. Students create mural to show Ent partnership. Three UCCS students recently completed a new mural to illustrate the partnership between Ent Federal Credit Union and the university. (More)
Campus community at fingertips. Members of the campus who work with student information learned this morning how they will access information ranging from shot records to veteran status during a preview of ISIS, the new student information system for all CU campuses. Plans call for a module for student financial aid to be active on Feb. 22 and conversion of 95,000 active student records in March. For details, see the Metamorphosis newsletter. (More)

Feliu-Moggi, associate professor, Languages and Cultures, was recently elected as a member of the European Academy of Science and Arts. He will be officially installed during the group’s March meeting in Salzburg, Austria. Feliu-Moggi is founding president of the Miguel Angel Asturias Society which is devoted to international study and promotion of the Nobel Prize-winning Guatemalan author.
