H1N1: it’s everyone’s business. UCCS is working closely with the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment and the Centers for Disease Control to track cases of H1N1 or swine flu. See Human Resource Director Cindy Corwin’s memo on the importance of reporting flu cases.

Peril or possibility. The Higher Education Association of the Rockies will present a forum Oct. 7 in Denver outlining the fiscal future of higher education in Colorado. Several leading experts are expected to speak at the event. (More)
Bring ‘em inside. On Oct. 8 and 9, Facilities Services grounds crews will have geraniums from throughout campus available for transplanting and indoor decoration. The fun begins at 11 a.m. and will be completed by noon. Pots recommended.
Sandy Wurtele, professor, Psychology, recently received the William Friedrich Memorial Child Sexual Abuse Research, Assessment and/or Treatment Award from the Institute on Violence Abuse and Trauma. She was honored for her work to prevent child abuse and for development of effective abuse prevention programs.
