Record-enrollment draws smiles, praise. Each UCCS college posted generous enrollment increases this fall with Letters, Arts and Sciences leading in credit hours generated and the School of Public Affairs with the largest percentage gain. (More)

Education faculty and staff selected for research grants. Lindy Crawford
Faculty and staff members in the UCCS College of Education were recently awarded more than $500,000 in sponsored research grants to improve the recruitment and training of southern Colorado K-12 teachers. (More)

Retention team asks faculty to be involved. Student retention plays a significant role in UCCS growth plans and is crucial during current budget circumstances, according to guest speakers at the Sept. 11 Faculty Assembly meeting. (More)

Being green saves green. With apologies to those whose offices and classrooms were warm this summer, Gary Reynolds, executive director, Facilities Services, estimates that more than $2.5 million in energy costs were avoided as a result of changes in personal behavior as well as specific improvements over the last four years. Theatreworks puts new face on old production. The new Theatreworks production will present something old and something new in “Our Town.” The new portion, “Invisible Voices” tells the stories of people with disabilities and their place in the community. (Press Release PDF)
