UCCS hires conference coordinator

A sales professional with more than eight years experience in hotel event management will be the first conference coordinator at UCCS.

Anne Gale, previously tournament and events manager at The Broadmoor, joined UCCS Sept. 1 and will be responsible for generating new conference business. Her appointment was announced by Susan Szpyrka, associate vice chancellor, Administration and Finance. Gale is part of a new business initiative designed to bring additional revenue to the campus.

For eight years, Gale directed more than 600 annual corporate golf events at The Broadmoor. Previously, she worked in fundraising positions for the American Cancer Society, the University of North Texas, and for public radio and television stations.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a management certificate in Baldridge/Total Quality Management from the University of Tulsa.
