Human resources director tapped
A veteran human resources specialist with longtime ties to the University of Colorado has been named the new UCCS Human Resources director.
Cindy Corwin, manager of employment and compensation at CU-Denver, will begin work at UCCS on March 1.
Her appointment was announced by Susan Szpyrka, associate vice chancellor, Administration and Finance.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the search committee members for their efforts in recruiting an excellent candidate pool,” said Szpyrka. “Cindy has 18 years of professional and management level experience administering a personnel system for state classified, non-classified, and faculty employees.”
Corwin previously served as assistant director of human resources at the Colorado School of Mines. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and computer science from Western State College and is in the process of receiving Certified Employee Benefits Specialist certification.
