Bob Sevier, executive vice president, Stamats, Inc., encouraged a standing-room only crowd at the University Center this week to set aside words such as “branding” and “marketing” and to substitute “reputation building” for a project to move UCCS forward in its relationships with potential students, donors and the greater Colorado Springs community.
Sevier’s comments were part of an initial visit by Stamats to UCCS as the university seeks to understand its current reputation and to build upon it. Over the next three months, Stamats representatives will visit campus often and consult with faculty, staff and students, according to Martin Wood, chief operating officer, University Advancement. Wood promised regular campus updates on the project and reputation building efforts.
